Landscape

Painting nature and capturing its glory makes me feel connected to the world, which in turn fills me with joy and hope.

This is important to me because I often feel loneliest back home in Chapel Hill.

There I’m surrounded by tech companies whose products I don’t understand and a technology culture that leaves me with very few opportunities for real intimacy and connection.

Nature doesn’t judge us. It accepts us as we are and only asks us the same in return.

And in those precious moments when it arranges itself in wonderful patterns of shapes, light, shadows, and color, I lose myself and become a part of something far bigger than me.

As you explore the pieces in this collection, I hope that you too are transported to these faraway places and share in these same feelings of belonging and joy.
